This group is referred to as the Zaili Lodge. Over the past hundred years in China, these lodges were quite widespread. What did they rely on? It%u2019s precisely this single phrase from the Great Compassion Mantra. The ritual masters, sitting in the main seat, recite %u201cNa Mo He La Da Nuo Duo La Ye Ye.%u201d Since I explored all these different paths in the past, I know them well. This phrase is also a Dharma of subduing, capable of vanquishing celestial demons and restraining adherents of external paths. All celestial demons and adherents of external paths, upon hearing this phrase, flee for their lives. However, it is not a Dharma of hooking and summoning, which would involve reciting a mantra to forcibly seize or capture demons, ghosts, or any other evil spirits. In short, %u201cNa Mo He La Da Nuo Duo La Ye Ye%u201d possesses inconceivable abilities, and if we were to explain it in full detail, its merit and functions would be infinite. What does %u2018infinite%u2019 mean? It means there is no end to the Buddhas of the past, no end to the Buddhas of the present, and no end to the Buddhas of the future. This is what is meant by the infinitely vast Three Jewels. %uf05d%u300c%u5357%u7121%u559d%u56c9%u601b%u90a3%u54c6%u56c9%u591c%u8036%u300d%uff1a%u5357%u7121%uff0c%u662f%u300c%u7688%u547d%u656c%u6295%u300d%uff1b%u559d%u56c9%u601b%u90a3%uff0c%u662f%u300c%u5bf6%u300d%u5b57%uff1b%u54c6%u56c9%u591c%uff0c%u662f%u300c%u4e09%u300d%u5b57%uff1b%u8036%uff0c%u662f%u500b%u300c%u79ae%u300d%u5b57%u3002%u9019%u5408%u8d77%u4f86%uff0c%u610f%u601d%u5c31%u662f%u8aaa%uff0c%u7528%u6211%u5011%u7684%u8eab%u5fc3%u6027%u547d%uff0c%u90fd%u7688%u4f9d%u7d66%u5341%u65b9%u4e09%u4e16%u7121%u76e1%u7121%u76e1%u7684%u4e09%u5bf6%uff0c%u6211%u5011%u5411%u4e09%u5bf6%u4f86%u53e9%u982d%u9802%u79ae%u3002 %u2014%u2014 %u5ba3%u516c%u4e0a%u4eba %u201cNa Mo He La Da Nuo Duo La Ye Ye %u201d can be broken down as follows:%u201cNa Mo%u201d means to entrust one%u2019s life with reverence, to respectfully take refuge.%u201cHe La Da Nuo%u201d represents %u201cJewel.%u201d%u201cDuo La Ye%u201d signifies %u201cThree.%u201d%u201cYe%u201d stands for %u201cReverence.%u201dCombined, the phrase signifies that we entrust our entire being%u2014body, mind, and life%u2014to the infinitely vast Three Jewels of the ten directions and the three periods of time, bow and pay homage to them with utmost reverence. %u2014By Venerable Master Hua
